Off to a shaky start as far as updating every week goes.
I just started a new job, and moved into a new house last week and so I didn't get a chance to do a show.
Luckily I have that ton of old shows I mentioned last post, so here's my show from December 23rd.
It's almost all Eduard Artemyev, who did the soundtracks for some of Andrei Tarkovsky's most well known films (Stalker, Solyaris). The only piece that isn't Artemyev, is from the soundtrack of a film that he did score. I included Isaac Dunayevski's "Hello Country Of Heroes" from The Inner Circle because it's so big and dramatic and Russian sounding.
The Artemyev stuff is beautiful, and dramatic and spacey.
Enjoy.

Eduard Artemyev-Urga Theme-Urga
Eduard Artemyev-Behind Of Wings-Shadows Of A Theater
Eduard Artemyev-Pohod-Sibiriada
Eduard Artemyev-Returns To Moscow-The Inner Circle
Eduard Artemyev-Meditation-Stalker
Eduard Artemyev-Station-Solyaris
Eduard Artemyev-Ogonj-Sibiriada
Eduard Artemyev-Metamorphoses
Eduard Artemyev-La Constuction Du Zepplin-Burnt By The Sun
Isaac Dunayevski-Hello Country Of Heroes-The Inner Circle
Eduard Artemyev-Gorod-Gorod Zero
Eduard Artemyev-The Prisoners March-The Barber Of Siberia
Eduard Artemyev-Temple Of The Dead-The Odyssey
Eduard Artemyev-Epilogue-Burnt By The Sun

I've got a ton of shows recorded that I've never made available for download, so my plan right now is to post two shows a week until I get caught up.

Here's my show from last week.
You may find it similar to this weeks show in that it's built around two long tracks. The Citizens For Interplanetary Activity piece is from an experimental Japanese film from the late Sixties called "Self Obliteration", and is a cosmic Hippie freakout. The other two tracks are pretty awesome early electronic noodling.

Citizens For Interplanetary Activity-Untitled-Self Obliteration
Takehisa Kosugi-Mano Dharma-Catch Wave

It's a new year and a new decade, this time I will update every week.
I swear.

This week I played some longer experimental tracks by Pete Shelley (Buzzcocks), and Sally Timms (The Mekons), as well as some of Ulver's excellent score for Lyckantropen. It's pretty good.
